Dear Friends of Camp Luther,
We are so thankful for all the support we have received and all who have asked us how Camp Luther is doing over the past several months. The simple answer, of course, is that it has been a challenging year!
Camp Luther has been, and is still being, impacted by the loss of spring and fall guest groups and our summer camps. Our revenues have been a fraction of normal, and we have made every effort to reduce our expenses at this time. Perhaps worst of all, we miss people and being able to provide a safe place where campers experience lifelong friendships, transformed lives, and forever memories.
Despite the difficulties, we believe we will survive! Camp Luther is celebrating its 70th year this year and we can't wait to get everyone together to celebrate. We know that challenges have always existed and God continues to be faithful to carry this place. Although we cannot possibly know what next spring or next summer will look like, we remain hopeful that we can host some kind of family camps and maybe even day camps.
We want to express our deep gratitude to those families who left their summer registration with us as a donation to help Camp and for the people who have reached out to us this past summer and fall and given.
As we move into this Christmas season, we are relying on the donations of those in our community and camp family to sustain us until we can safely have guest groups and campers back on site. Now more than ever we are relying on generous contributions to ensure we can continue to operate.
Thank you for your support, and we look forward to celebrating our re-opening with you sometime soon.
Believing in the power of camp,
