The Camp Luther Staff provides year-round, full-time direction to all aspects of the Camp Luther experience.  All staff have a heart for Camp ministry, and sharing the love of Christ with those that we interact with.  "And they will know that you are my disciples by the way you love one another." (John 13:35)

  • Matt Castle - Executive Director

    Matt joined the staff at Camp Luther in 2005 as the Program Director, previously working in Church Ministry as a Youth Pastor. Known as The Colonel, over the years he has been the Camp Director and recently became the Executive Director in 2014. He is married to Mandy and has 4 kids- Mikayla (15), Mitchell (13), Megan (11) and Mackenzie (8).

  • Anna Curtis - office Manager

    When you call the office, Anna will most likely be the friendly voice you hear. She has been an integral part to keeping this camp running smoothly and efficiently. She attended Camp Luther as a camper, worked in the kitchen, served as part of the summer team and even got married in the Mt. Seymour Chalet! Her husband, Paul, serves on our Board of Directors, and she has two children - Avery and Matthew.

  • Cody Friesen - PROGRAM MANAGER

    Also known as Bravo, he served 5 consecutive summers as part of the senior staff in a variety of roles before coming on full-time in January 2017. He comes with a BFA in Acting from Trinity Western University in which he still puts his degree to use by directing/acting/teaching all across the Fraser Valley & Greater Vancouver Area (whenever he has free time). 

  • nathan janzen - property manager

    Nathan joined the staff at Camp Luther in 2010 as the Property Manager. As a natural handyman he loves the projects and repairs at camp - he is the reason the property is always kept in such pristine condition.  He has a background in chemical engineering.  Nathan is married to Niki and has two children - Kurt (13) and Layni (12).  

  • Niki janzen - guest group manager

    Niki joined the staff at Camp Luther in 2010 taking over the responsibility of Guest Group Manager.  She lives on-site along with her husband and family, offering hospitality and helping all of the groups that rent our facilities.  


    Heide brings a wealth of camp kitchen experience having worked for years in the kitchen at Timberline Ranch. She is excited to bring a high level of quality food, cleanliness and team culture, She is married to Larry and together they have three kids, Jodi (Nic), Joy and Warren - with one grandson, Wes.
