our Junior staff program

Volunteering on our Junior Staff team is an incredible way to spend a portion of your summer! Jr. staff are high school-aged volunteers who are a vital part of the work we do here at camp, and we love having them around. If you're looking to meet some amazing new friends (or serve alongside old friends), gain leadership experience, and grow in your confidence and walk with the Lord, you've come to the right place! Our Jr. Staff serve alongside the Sr. Staff, hands on and helping to make the summer happen!

Camp Luther’s Jr Staff Training Program exists to;

 equip our jr staff as they grow in servant leadership, 

encourage authentic relationships, and

inspire them to learn more about their identity in Jesus.



New this summer

This summer, Camp Luther Ministries is running summer camps at two locations! Our staff will be serving at both Camp Tulahead (Princeton, BC) and Camp Luther (Mission, BC). We are still ONE camp and have ONE team, just at two awesome locations. Junior Staff and parents, please be aware that the Junior Staff volunteer applications will give Junior Staff  the option of preference of location.  For Junior Staff placed at Camp Tulahead, we will provide transportation between camps.

what is the age you can become a junior?


Applicants this year must be turning 14 in 2023 (born 2009 or earlier).

HOW DO I KNOW IF I AM 'ACCEPTED' INTO THE JR. STAFF PROGRAM?

Once you complete the application & have received confirmation (via email/the submission button on the form) - you are in!


Every Junior Staff is required to attend our Training Weekend - this is where we train our Juniors and assign weeks for the summer.

WHAT IF MY AVAILABILITY CHANGES?

That's totally fine! 


Happens all the time, just let us know ASAP and we will do our best to reschedule your weeks (if possible)!


how do i know which camp i am scheduled to work at?

When our Junior Staff are given their assigned weeks, they will also be told which of our 2 sites (Camp Luther - Mission or Camp Tulahead - Princeton) they will be at that week. We will be transporting staff between the two camps.


We will inform Juniors of their schedule at the Staff Training weekend.

HOW DO I KNOW WHIch weeks are assigned to each junior?

On the application, each Junior Staff lets us know the week(s) they are available and we schedule based on what is submitted. Note: no matter the availability, no number of weeks is guaranteed; we schedule weeks based on several factors. 


We will inform Juniors of their schedule at the Staff Training weekend.
