tips for taking the bus

  • Have clearly visible labels on all of your camper's bags
  • Pack a small bag with anything your camper would like to keep with them on the bus (snacks, water bottle, entertainment, etc) and keep it with you until they load the bus, as luggage will not be accessible during the drive
  • If your camper gets carsick, send Gravol along with them or give them some beforehand (if it will help!). You can also send some along with them for the bus ride home
  • Keep all medications seperate from your luggage, as all medication (including Gravol) must be handed off to the Bus First Aid Attendant at check-in
  • Snacks can be brought on the bus, but we will also be providing a snack at the halfway point of the drive (please note that snacks cannot be kept in cabins during the week, so any uneaten bus snacks must be kept in the First Aid Attendant's office after arrival)
  • If you receive a call from Camp Tulahead on the day of drop-off. don't panic! It is likley the First Aid Attendant looking to clarify something from your camper's health form after the Bus First Aid Attendant hands off medications and information
  • Be prepared to be flexible with pickup on the last day, as the bus may be delayed by traffic, bathroom breaks, or other factors
