The Junior Staff Program

Volunteering on our Junior Staff team is an incredible way to spend a portion of your summer! Jr. staff are high school-aged volunteers who are a vital part of the work we do here at camp, and we love having them around. If you're looking to meet some amazing new friends (or serve alongside old friends), gain leadership experience, and grow in your confidence and walk with the Lord, you've come to the right place! Our Jr. Staff serve alongside the Sr. Staff, hands on and helping to make the summer happen!


Camp Luther’s Jr Staff Training Program exists to EQUIP, ENCOURAGE, and INSPIRE high school students to towards real leadership for real life.



How we do that

Equip

We see the potential in high school students to display leadership qualities that can change the words today and tomorrow. Sometimes, high school students just need the right tools to display these qualities in their everyday lives. We seek to equip high school students by providing them with those tools to change this world for the better.

Encourage

We all see the challenging landscape each high school student has to live in. We also know that a little encouragement goes a long way. Thats why we have incredible staff who have the ability to speak relevant truth into the lives of high school students, pulling students up from a world that seems to push them down.

inspire

If encouragement is pulling students up then inspiring is pushing students out to go an be the leaders that God has created them to be. We seek to fill the minds of high school students today to dream of a world that looks different because of who God is in and through them.

Frequently asked questions

  • Applicants this year must be turning 14 in 2026 (born 2012 or earlier).

  • Once you complete the application & have received confirmation (via email/the submission button on the form) - you are in!


    Every Junior Staff is required to attend our Training Weekend - this is where we train our Juniors and assign weeks for the summer. The 2026 Training Weekend will be May 22-24 and costs $145 (there is no other cost associated with being a Junior).

  • That's totally fine!

  • When our Junior Staff are given their assigned weeks, they will also be told which of our two sites (Camp Luther - Mission or Camp Tulahead - Princeton) they will be at that week. We will be transporting staff scheduled to serve in Princeton from Camp Luther to Camp Tulahead, and back to Camp Luther after the camper week ends. 


    We will inform Juniors of their schedule after the Staff Training weekend (May 22-24). The email with their schedule will be sent to the parent or guardian email provided in the Junior Staff application.

  • On the application, each Junior Staff lets us know the week(s) they are available and we schedule based on what is submitted. Note: no matter the availability, no number of weeks is guaranteed; we schedule weeks based on several factors. 


    We will inform Juniors of their schedule after the Staff Training weekend (May 22-24). The email with their schedule will be sent to the parent or guardian email provided in the Junior Staff application.

    Mission, BC

    This 5 or 6 day Junior Staff experience takes place at our Mission location and is focused on equipping, encouraging and inspiring you towards real leadership for real life.

    Princeton, BC

    This 11 day Junior Staff experience takes place at our Princeton location and is focused on equipping, encouraging and inspiring you towards real leadership for real life. Bus Transportation from our Mission location is provided for all Junior Staff going to Camp Tulahead.
